Wilhelmina Southeby, or Mina for short, is a witch that lives in the quiet town of Darrow on Rye. At forty, she is smart, sassy, and best friends with her familiar, a cat named Sir Herman Pyewicket. Unknown to most people, not only can Herman talk but he is currently on his 7th life.

Mina and Herman run a magic shop that sells books, incense, tarot cards, herbs, teas, cakes and most importantly, magical cookware. This is no ordinary cookware, but is powerfully charged with magic and only Mina and Herman know its secrets. Very few people know of its existence and is available for certain customers and upon request.

The magical cookware has always been used for good magic and it comes as surprise to Mina when someone has other ideas for her hand-crafted cookware. Mina is shocked when handsome Inspector Warwick arrives at her shop not for a tea reading but to tell her that someone has been killed and her cookware was the weapon.

The Inspector is certain she is next on the murderer’s list. Believing the cookware is the key to the murder, Mina realizes she is in danger.
